All the best parts of pizza night, pressed into one golden toastie. Pizza sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms and Perfect Melt come together for crispy edges, proper stretch and a very strong case for having toasties for dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough or sandwich bread
  • ¾ cup The Cultured Dairy Perfect Melt
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 6 slices pepperoni or salami
  • ¼ cup sliced mushrooms
  • Butter, for spreading
  • Dried oregano, optional

Method

  1. Spread pizza sauce on one side of the bread.
  2. Add Perfect Melt, pepperoni, mushrooms and oregano.
  3. Top with the second slice of bread and butter the outside.
  4. Toast in a pan or sandwich press until golden and melted.
  5. Cut in half and serve hot.
